Dining in Fort Wayne

Being the second largest city in the state of Indiana, Fort Wayne offers plenty of dining options for more than 250,000 local residents and thousands of regular visitors. When looking for the best places to eat, people should focus their attention on the area at the intersection of Coliseum Boulevard and Coldwater Road. This busy intersection is a major commercial center in Fort Wayne. The area includes Glen Brook Square, Northcrest Shopping Center, and several strip malls and plazas.

Americans love to have access to shopping, dining, and entertainment under a single roof, and Fort Wayne surely fits this common demand. With over 150 stores, Glenbrook Square is the second largest shopping mall in Indiana. This premier shopping center also offers more than 20 eating options for hungry shoppers. As you'd expect from any mall, there are several family and kid friendly restaurants such as Burger King, T.G.I. Friday's, and Taco Bell.

If you want to skip these mundane chain restaurants and try something more unique, check out Planet Pita and Bourbon Street Grill. You'll also find your typical Chinese and Japanese options at the mall, such as the Panda Express and Sarku Japan. Forget about cola drinks, and try some refreshing beverages at Dairy Queen/Orange Julius, Maui Wowi Hawaiian Coffees & Smoothies, and Granite City Food & Brewery. The prices for food at the mall are quite affordable, so visitors who want to save some money for extra shopping should stay have their meal there.

If Glenbrook Square doesn't meet your taste, you can exit the mall and find some fine dining options right across the street. Only a few blocks down on Coldwater Road, you can tingle your taste buds with some spicy Indian food at the A Taste Of India restaurant. If you want to enjoy authentic Mexican food, Don Pablos is the right destination for you, which is located at the corner of Lima Road and Coliseum Blvd. If you prefer something more casual and less spicy, try some Italian Cuisine at the Oliver Garden (315 W Coliseum Blvd) that's right across the mall. You should keep in mind that these restaurants are more expensive than those at the mall, but they offer a formal sit-down dining setting.
